Prophet and prophecies are part of what God has given to the body of Christ, the testimony of Jesus is known as “the spirit of prophecy” (Rev. 19:10). True prophecy is having the testimony of Jesus, and the testimony of Jesus is the word of God. By the Spirit, Apostle Peter says that “we have the more sure word of prophecy; where unto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts; 2 Pet. 1:19. To believe the written word, in the light of the finished work of Christ is to believe the testimony of Jesus which is the spirit of prophecy. The Father God has already given you His best which is His word. If you will take God at His word, you will see every other thing falling in place. “It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom” (Luke 12:32).
